Crows Thrive. That’s the message I got this morning during my morning meditation. I say that like I regularly meditate every morning, which, of course, I do not.
But still.
I’m not sure why, but what calms me is listening to whatever messages nature feels like delivering. Not sure it inspires my writing directly, but it opens me up to plot twists, descriptions, and insights into my characters once I get off the blanket and onto my writing chair.
The crows that flew by my balcony this morning are robust and raucous. They find homes, food, mates and care for their young in a polluted, messy, human world. I’m pretty impressed by that. It made me think that I can thrive in spite of my imperfect human body, work, home and hectic schedule.
Guess that means I’d better get off my writing chair now, go shower and get to work!
