…or saddle or whatever! I’m back to work on Logan 2. Day jobs like mine (teaching 12 year olds) deserve a lot of my attention September to June. I owe it to my students to design and deliver premier learning experiences for them. I also owe it to them to live a balanced life and make sure I fill my own well, or there will be nothing to offer them.

During the school year, it’s a rare weekend or week off when I can get a good chunk of writing time in. This week was Spring Break, and after a short waltz with a back spasm which kept me out of my writer’s chair for a few days, I’m enjoying some quality time with Logan and friends…oh, and some of the less savory characters she deals with, of course. My son also surprised me with a visit, so of course, wanted to spend time with him, which has been heart-warming and fun. I could beat myself up that I didn’t get more writing work done…but…

Writing Tip of the Day: There are times when family, health, and other important commitments will keep you from writing on a regular schedule, or as much as you need/want to. You just have to accept life’s (and your own) limitations and keep at it. Books will always get written, and it’s normal for you to have super productive weeks, and cobwebs growing on your computer other weeks.

As they say- enjoy the journey!
