So true! Few of us will ever have the luxury of sitting at the perfect desk, laptop open, in a remote cabin in the woods, (with powerful wifi of course), gazing out the window at the perfect, chattering stream, breathing in the silence, only stopping to eat gourmet meals flown in by our personal chef, who doubles as a housekeeper and makes the bed and does the dishes before leaving again-never once interrupting, so that we may pen our novel, birthed whole and perfect.
Real life writing is more like stealing 15-20 minutes while the grand baby naps, or staying up late to reach that word-count goal, or gazing wistfully at the last chapter of your manuscript, sitting next to your computer as you go to work in the morning.
We have families, doctor’s appointments and jobs. Living takes time, but if we are writers, we will always find time to write.
